Among Holz’s revelatory ideas? A painted sheet of glass as ad-hoc backsplash, reclaimed Marmoleum scraps pieced together into a countertop, and Ikea cabinet boxes transformed with pink-tinted plywood fronts and the artist’s own handmade glass door handles. Aha DIYProjects KitchenStorage Pegboards WallStorage
There’s not a year that goes by that we don’t come across a gushing tribute to Julia Child’s revolutionary use of pegboards in her kitchen. No wonder: Her ability to see beauty in the humble and her elevation of organization to an art form still feels fresh and relevant today. Recently, we saw a kitchen storage method that floored us in a similar way as Child’s pegboards. And, naturally, we spotted it in the home of two professional chefs: famed London culinary couple Margot and Fergus Henderson. Margot is the chef/co-owner of Rochelle/Canteen and the newly opened Rochelle/ICA; Fergus—dubbed “an...
